Hi from Scotland,
On the day after the volleyball matches, we got up and drove eight hours to a small town in Scotland called auchterarder. This town is in the center of Scotland. We spent two nights there and than drove to Macrahanish. Today we went on a high to an island that you can only reach when the tide goes out. While we were on our hike we went into a cave and found of painting of a man painted 150 years ago. Scotland is a lot like Oregon because it is on the coast and there are lots of trees. From we're we are we can see the northern coast of Ireland, which is really cool.

After the Vollyball games.
We have just finished watching two different Beach Vollyball matches in a place called Horse Gurads Parade in central London. In theses games two players play on sand until one team gets to 21 . The first game was China against Austria. The Chinese won. In the second game we got to watch Misty May-Tranur and Carie Walsh, the USA team, play Italy. The US Team beat the Italians in both matches. This stadium was super cool! In our seats we could see the Eye of London, A big clock, and lots of very old buildings. At the end of the game we got to see the British Rowing Team. They recently won the gold meadals for rowing. My mom got to touch one of there glod medals. Afterwards we went to Carnaby Street. Which is what a lot of people would say to be fashion central. Sadly that is our last Olympic game, but tomorrow we go to Scotland!

The United States came out on top winning the gold followed by Russia with the silver and Romania with the bronze. The USA won by six points and we got to listen to anthem being played over the speakers. Every part of the Staduim made the win even more spectacular to watch. Today was the first day of the Olympic games and it has been was so much fun to watch. But the Opening Ceremonys were even better. The ceremony was so much fun because the show was the best I have ever seen! JK Rowling appeared as well as voldamort, a character from her book. The queen of England was there and so was the first lady of the United States. The stage started as part of an English country side and then transformed in to what looked like a coal mine. There was English music playing and about 30 Mary Poppins arrived on stage. As a part of the audience we helped make the stage look like an island by holding a big sheet of blue silk over our heads and making it look like waves. We also got to use light panels to dance along to certain songs. But the best part of the Opening Ceremonys was seeing all of the athletes walk around the stage. This was the first year that every countries competing produces a female athlete. The United States was towards the end of the parade but we had the most athletes competing. Tomorrow we are heading to the Aquatic center for different swimming events as well as a medal ceremony. More tomorrow.

We are live at the Opening Ceremonys Arena, sitting in our seats ready for the show. This stadium fits 85000 people and is filling up very quickly. At the top of the stadium are flags from all of the countries. The main stage looks like its from the English country side. There is a small cottage, a bridge, flowers, a garden, and a big water wheel. We have no idea what the Ceremony has in store for us but a volunteer just pasted around some 3D glasses and a program with loads of celebrates that are performing.

2nd Day
Hello Everyone,
Today was super fun! We went to Le loure, Eiffel Tower, and the Sacre Couur. The Sacre Couur is a beautiful church at the very top of a huge hill. Inside there is lots of stain glass windows, big paintings on the walls, and mind blowing sculptures. Leloure is a large museum and the only way to get in to it is to take a elevator down a giant pyrimid. When you are standing on the ground you can only see the very tip of the pyrimid and even then it is big. Now we are going to go on a boat ride down the river that goes through the middle of Paris. We are having a great time!!!!
Sincerely,
Janie and Sarah Alice

Bonjour mon ami,
This means hello my friends. We are in Paris France right now sitting in our hotel room. We have had a very exciting day today. First we road in an under water tran from London to Paris. After about a hour ride we checked into our hotel and walked to the Eiffel tower. We had lunch on the grass and tried to walk up the Tower but it was closed for a while because of a small fire. We saw this fire and we thought it was some kind of welding but the French firefighters had to come. We also saw the arch de treion. We are about Togo to dinner in a small cafe.

Hi from London,
We have arrived!!!! London is a beautiful place and the Olympics start on Friday. On Tuesday we leave for Paris. To get to Paris we will take a train that goes under water. We can't wait to send you a picture of the Eiffel Tower. So far in London we have seen many different little villages. They are all full of culture and most of the buildings are very old. There are many traditions that have been carried out for hundreds of years. Today we saw a church that is around 350 years old. It was full of history. There was even grave stones from the 1700's. Excitement is all around because everybody is getting ready for the Olympics. Coming in from the airport we saw the Australian Beach Vollyball team.
Sincerely,
Sarah Alice and Janie
